Where have we gone in the Body of Christ? I mean look at all the obesity that is so rampant in our fellowships. I would think that we as the light of the world should be the ones leading the healthy lifestyle movement. We are the salt of the earth and perhaps we should be the ones to talk about watching our sodium intake. It's no mystery that it seems that the church trails the world on many fronts and issues. I just pray that we as the people of God rise up and take our position and be the head and not the tail. That we stand up and speak the truth in love to all people. Not just the gospel, heck we don't always do that either, but that's for another time. I'm talking about healthy eating and healthy lifestyle living. We as the body of Christ should lead the charge in this area. We have these temples that God has given us and we should take care of them. It is our obligation to bring these bodies of ours into subjection to truth and stop abusing them with garbage foods.

Listen to my radio show and be blessed. I have some really great guests and a lot of good knowledge and resources to share.

New Wine and New Wine Skins

Why would we buy a new car and put an old engine in it. What would be the purpose of that? It sounds stupid but it's funny how we do this all the time. We get a revelation from God regarding a certain area of our life but we keep the old standards and try to fit our new revelation in the old place. Let me explain this a little further. You meet a new friend who is really fun to be with. The person likes to go out to classy places. They dress well and they love to do adventurous things. This is a new relationship and it is great. Now on the other hand you have many friends who are not as classy. They like to hang out on the block, party hard and play video games all day. Will you mix the new relationship with the old? No way! Mixing those relationships would be a big mistake. The new relationship calls for a new environment, not the old environment. Sometimes if you want to experience change you have got to not only change the way you think, but your relationships and the environment you are in. Perhaps you need to move or hangout in another part of town. Maybe you need to find friends in a new city. When you receive new revelation, you ought to begin connecting with relationships that complement your revelation and then position yourself in the environment that is a complement to your revelation and relationships. This is how change occurs. In most cases there must be a radical transformation. In short, do not mix anything old with the new. The old has to go if you want the new to come in and remain.

Living Life and Loving It

If you are like me, you have been around some very negative people in your day. Have you not noticed that many people don't seem to enjoy life? They complain and cry about almost everything. Heck, it wasn't so long ago that I went through a very difficult time in my life and it actually opened up a new path for me. It truly led me toward my destiny. This helps me and I hope it gives you strength to know, that even if you are going through something very trying right now, you can still live your life and love it. It all starts with realizing that whatever it is in your life that's weighing heavy on you, it will soon pass. When it passes, you will have a new level of faith. Also, give thanks while you are in the messy mess. This gives you a different perspective to look at things so as to give you an ability to see solutions that are right before your face, in most cases. I will share more on this Thursday on My Spiritual Life conference call. For now, Live life and love it!

New

Do you ever get that all pumped up when you are about to get something new? You know the feeling you get as you are on your way to get that new thing? What about a new event in your life? When you are about to embark upon a new journey and you are stepping out to something great? Well I'm excited about New. New is an awesome word but even better, the state of being is awesome. I love to live in the new. Every day is a new day. We can start fresh. If we experienced failure yesterday, that was then. Yesterday is gone. We can now focus on the new day we have before us. We can transform our thinking to new thinking patterns. What we formerly thought true, we can change up and believe new. If we change the way we think and what we think, we change our destiny. Yes, new thinking brings about a new destiny. New friends are always fun. New friends means new experiences, learning and environment. People bring a new dynamic to our lives and to different people we respond differently to. We can learn more about ourselves and see the new us. God has given us new life in Jesus Christ. In Him we are a new creation. So get pumped up today and live life in the new!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. This is a day to celebrate the birth of Christ. Yes it is a day to give as well as receive. Don't get hung up on material things though. If you are short on cash, give what is most valuable. Your best you. Your love, time and intellect. These are gifts that are truly priceless. Heck, who can really put a price tag on a life?

I want everyone to enjoy this Christmas season and never let it die. Really, why should we be such givers only once a year? Let's keep this Christmas giving attitude all year round. It's when we live Christmas everyday, that's when we have the Spirit of Christmas in us.

Have a great day. Listen to my Christmas Greeting.
